Dublin moved into Phase II of his career on 10-17-10 when we attended our very first RMBC Fun Run, held at the beautiful coursing facility owned by Tom Golcher and KC Thompson of Zoiboyz Borzoi in Peyton, CO. We knew Dublin and his girls loved to run and flush bunnies in our home pastures, but he had never seen anything like this! We all held our collective breathes as Dale released him on his first run, and we rewarded when he performed true to the nature of the Borzoi breed! This will prove to be a challenging new activity for Team Cobblestone, as we are total novices in this activiity, but with the guidance of Tom and KC, we hope to bring Dublin to his full potential in this area.

HUGE NEWS FLASH!!!! ~ 9-25-10
Dublin finished the requirements for his AKC Grand Champion title at the Innaugural Arapahoe Kennel Club Show I (September 25, 2010) under respected Breeder/Judge Nadine Johnson (Rising Star) by being named Best Of Breed! This gave him 6 Major Wins under 6 different Judges, within three months of earning his AKC Championship, and all by the age of 22 Months!!! The following day he added an exclamation point by being named Best Of Breed under Judge Monica Canestrini, giving him a total of 32 points toward his Grand Championship (7 Major Wins under 7 different Judges) to become the 20th Borzoi Grand Champion of all time! He was handled to all his wins by Dale, which also make this special for us. According to the AKC, of the 21 Grand Champions currently listed (as of 10-8-10), Dublin will join this elite ranking as the youngest Borzoi to attain this coveted title to date!!

We are thrilled to announce that "Dublin" satisfied the requirements to become an AKC CHampion of record at the Colorado Springs Kennel Club Show I, June 12, 2010!
He finished with 4 Major Wins and 17 points at the tender age of 18 Months! His show career began with a bang and he finished his Championship with a bang, being named BOB and BOW from the Open Dog class! He moved up and was shown for the first time as a Specials the next day and was again named BOB! Our thanks to Judges Jon R. Cole and James G. Reynolds for recognizing his quality in both conformation and movement and for his representation of the Borzoi Standard.

Seldom is a young dog backed by the pedigree of accomplishment that Dublin can boast of having! His dam finished her Championship from the puppy classes, and his sire was just named WD and BOW at the 2009 RMBC Specialty to finish his conformation championship! Dublin's genetic pool is deep in excellent movement, balance, breed type and disposition.
